These FaceMugs are works of art that illicit
a response from the viewer. They are created totally by Herk, one at a time,
from his imagination, in very limited numbers. They have been developing over
the past 20 years to their present style and quality. Each FaceMug is begun as a lump of stoneware
clay thrown on the potters wheel into some variation of a cylinder. While
moist they are poked, pushed, and added onto to create individual sculptures
that also function as hot or cold drinking vessels. The finished stained and glazed FaceMug
has a Herks' original handle and has been fired in a kiln to over 2300
degrees F. Depending on the FaceMugs size and shape it will hold between 12
and 20 ounces of liquid. The finished FaceMug is lead free, microwave safe,
dishwasher safe, and oven proof. YOU CAN REALLY USE IT. The FaceMug you choose is the actual mug
